As New: Pristine condition, completely free of any defects, as if it just left the publisher.
Fine (F): Nearly As New, with no defects to the book, jacket, or pages.
Near Fine (FN): Approaching Fine, with only a couple of very minor, almost imperceptible defects.
Very Good (VG): Shows some small signs of wear, such as minor scuffs or creases, but no tears on the binding or paper.
Good (G): A moderately worn book with average signs of use. The binding is reasonably firm and square, and all text pages are present and intact.
Fair: Shows considerable wear, and may have missing endpapers, half-title page, or other minor parts, but has complete text pages.
Poor: Significantly worn and damaged, with potential for soiling, stains, or detached pages.
Binding Copy: The book’s pages are in good condition, but the binding is severely damaged and requires re-binding for the book to be usable.
Reading Copy: A copy in poor to fair condition that is still legible and usable for reading.
